Description

A tribute to the Mansfield University Concert Wind Ensemble as one of the oldest wind ensembles in the country, Traditions seeks to capture the spirit of the tradition of excellence long established in the music program at Mansfield University of Pa., where the composer serves as the Director of Bands. Premiered at an alumni reunion by the MU Alumni Wind Ensemble, the work features a rousing introduction and opening section, followed by a lyrical middle section highlighting a euphonium solo.  The return of the opening material brings this excellent concert piece full circle and to a close.
